Do you have a business that constantly gives you less than you pay for?
We have a BURGER KING that will consistently give you less than what you order at the drive thru---you can order it your way but we will fix it our way--even when the drive thru is slow.
My wife got us two burgers, mine was a double meat, and brought it home for dinner yesterday. I got a single. It is not the first time this has happened.
What would you do ?

Next time you go there to eat talk to the manager and they will probably just give you a free sandwich like the one you ordered and did not get. Otherwise they will likely loose one more customer.

Sorry for the frustration. I think we've all been there. Those workers are typically at the bottom of the food chain...pun intended

William, its probably the beginning of priming us for Obamacare. There is going to be no more double meat anything.

On the reciept, is usually a web site/email address. You could contact them that way, and they'll send you a bunch of free coupons. Plus, get ahold of the manager/ or owner, and probably give them a real hosing down. gypsyman

Let me give you a hint at my solution. Talking to the mgr is worthless. BK will not respond to phone or e-mail.
They are open for business and they are convenient but seem not to care, so it has come down to a showdown !

Easy solution. Go to Wendys, DQ, Mcds, etc and buy your food. Then go inside at BK and eat your meal. When mgt shows up, and they will, explain that it seems to be the ONLY way to get things YOUR WAY at BK. Simple enough?? POWDERMAN.

If you're prudent, you would check the bag to see if you got what you ordered before you leave--no matter which drive-thru you go to. But really, if you're prudent you wouldn't get your food that way in the first place.

I stopped going to Burger King a few years ago when I learned that they do not cook in the stores anymore. Thye have a central kitchen and send the meat out cooked and frozen. All they do in Microwave the meat.
But. I have talked to the manager of the McDonalds here in town when they have made a mistake. It was late in the day and I had not had lunch so I pulled throug the drive through and ordered a cheese burger, small fries and a lg diet coke. Paid for it and got my sack of stuff, and headed home, I reached in and found a pair of Double Cheese burgers and a Med Fry. And ate both burgers and all the fries. Explains Why I am lipidly enhanced.
The next day I drove by the place and asked to speak with the manager and told him of the mistake an offered to pay for the difference.
He was shocked I was there, he was the same manager that was on duty when I drove through, but I said somehow some one made a mistake and I got the wrong order and got too much but someone got too little for what they paid and they feel riped off and you may want to keep the cutomers happy. He said the other guy said the order was light and we made it right.
Most managers will go out of their way to keep customers happy. I had a lady drive thought and then come back in and said that she handed me a $20 and I only gave her change for a $10. My manager handed her $10 out of my draw and said sorry, she then counted my draw and I was $10 short proving I had given the proper change.
If the Manager of the BK did not make it right then I would just not frequent the store any more.

Once or twice a week, the Hen, will pick up burgers after she has had the GK's all day. This store is just too convenient to ignore.
I took back the single, yesterday, told them I wanted a fresh burger and fries---they refused and offered money back. I said I wanted what I paid for and was not moving from in front of the take-out.
They said they would call the cops.
I said that was OK.
They did and three squad cars showed up---slow day I guess.
They said to move on.
I said no !
They threatened jail and I said OK---on what charge.
This lasted about 30 minutes and I got my money back---The two cops I talked to asked me if I was happy? I said I tied up their drive thru for thirty minutes and they lost money---I was happy and never mad---just determined.

The manager is small minded.
If it was a return policy issue, and he needed to hand you your money back then he should have done it and simply re rung up the order, Taken the $ back dumped your fires in the grease and nuked your burger and made sure it was made your way and to your likeing. Smiling the whole time and asked if you wanted a Milk shake or what ever other sweet treat they have at no cost and thanked you for returning and giving them the oppertunity to make the order right and you happy and we look forward to seeing you again.
If it were me, I would not go back, especally after they called the police.

i hate to say this but i wouldn't go
back just because in this day and age
you'll be getting "extra" in your order
if you show back up and they recognize
you. nothing worth getting sick over.

sad to say but this day the corporate
mindset has taken over every business.
if they can give away a pie or ice cream
that costs them 20 cents for every 20
customers they screw, that's good business
for them. if they can hire half illiterate
drop outs or illegals and pay min wage
well , that's good business in their opinion.
it's not just the fast food joints that use
that business model.

But what else would the Dope smokers that some here claim does not effect proformance do to beable to buy their dope?
At some point either the owner, a District manager, or regional manager will realize that the manager is not managing and will be let go.

It could be PTSD, old age, or who knows what ... but every local business I've been in save Chik-Fil-A treats me like they're doing me a favor doing their job. And government service has dropped to new lows. Will never spend a nickel at Guitar Center after today, for example. My list is growing.

When I was in VA and needed to hire a new employee I would go to the local Fast food places at the times I needed to add staff (figuring if they are working here now and I need them at the same time a scheduling problem would not arrise. Having worked at a fast food place I would look to see who was motivated and would make note here and ask the two or three candidates to please come see me and offer them almost twice the min wage and I had a great employee most often.
I really do not see any one hustling and what drives me nuts most of the time is the machine gun Spanish from one to another and ignoring any and all customers.

mccwoodduck, My son graduated HS at 16, couldn't find a job so I gave him some of my VA benefits and he spent 2 years Pre-Med. Every job he did get they soon started talking management, put him in charge of others twice his age, etc. But no one would let him do anything more than a minimum wage job. He was the rare guy at the Fast Food place that paid attention to the customer, and spent a nickel to keep a $40 a week customer. He'd have gladly worked for you doing whatever you asked. Happily he's in Boot Camp now, where being the exceptional guy is rewarded, not beat down.

We get what we inspect, not what we expect, so perhaps the customer base needs to vote with more than their feet.

Thanks Charlie! GBO is blocked on my ship, where I've been most of the past 2 years, and I've been using my off ship time to help launch my son into his military career. Now that the nest is empty, and my time on ship is drawing to a close, I hope to spend more time back with my friends here!

I refuse to go to any drive thru for that very reason. If they make a mistake inside & fix it cheerfully, I let it go. If I get any attitude I talk to the manager. If it re-occurs, I tell the manager they just lost a customer.

My experience with BK has been routinely lousy for about 25 years. I have lived worked and eaten in Il., In., Ia., Mn., Mi., Wi., Mo., ND., and SD. I cannot remember a wow experience in all that time. Just look at the sales figures, Wendy's has kicked their ass for quite some time now.

I do like the old creepy King commercials.

I wont go to BK anymore either.....Sonic has recently taken me off their list unless I want a cheap iced tea during happy hour, Wendy's and Whataburger are the only ones I will visit, and that's a very rare visit. Fast food it expensive and unhealthy. I generally call the home office if I have a complaint the manager wont address to my satisfaction.

We used to frequent BK a lot. Several years ago they had a dbl cheeseburger that was great for $1. Then they removed 1 pc of cheese, cut out the pickles and onions, reduced the sz of the burger patties, and dbld the price. We rarely eat there anymore. POWDERMAN.

Far as I can tell, most fast food joints I frequent around here give the local cops free food, so get snappy service from the cops whenever they're called.

I've taken to skipping the chains and going to local dives; they tend to have more skin the game, so to speak, as their reputation has to beat the chains.

A plug for the So Cal Home team Chain of In and Out. Have never had a wrong order even when ordering the off menue items. The kids are friendly and helpfull, and pretty fast. It is expensive for fast food but it it also frustration free.
And part of the local draw is to see what you can get them to make that is not on the menue.

Black and white or white and Black shake. and yes the color you say first is the one going in the cup first. Also pink and white or Pink and black If you want a chocoate Strawberry shake.
ANd while a #1 is a Double Double you can order up to a Sept / Sept 7 burgers 7 cheese

It is over and done with as far as I am concerned---I certainly will not go there again.
I just got fed up with the chain of command and lack of care---so I decided that I would just do what needed to be done and cost then some money.
It really was a shame that the cops got involved---but they did good. I was just an ordinary man who got fed up.
I really don't think the Mgr or cops understood that a determined man would call their bluff.
My wife, took their side of course, saying I was stupid. I guess that is one way to look at it. It certainly was not politically or socially correct and may have been incorrect to take it that far. However; I felt good about it and don't regret anything.
I especially don't think that the cops understood that I was never mad.

The closest BK to our house(about 12 miles) is courteous and seem to try. I have found that quite often local delis are much better than the chains anyway. We have a couple delis within comfortable distance, both family run.. and evertybody knows everybody around here.
Our county American Legion has worked a special program for veterans..10% off at many locations. One of the really good delis near a local lake gives 20% off on deli items,,buirgers, pizza etc. I bought a "cheezeburger" there last week. It was $3.95 before discount.
Sounds expensive, but each burger (2) was at least 1/4 lb..perhaps 1/2 lb before cooking, the roll was a an extra large deli roll and the lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo constituted a salad in itself.
The beef was real, hand formed beef and delicious. Next time though, I will order just one and cut it in half to furnish enough burger for both the wife and I.
When I travel, I like to stop at subway.. Their subs provide a better balance nutrition-wise, bread, meat, dairy and vegetable.. than most fast foods.
