« on: June 17, 2013, 02:47:43 AM »
Anybody figgured a practical use for birdhouse gourds other than making birdhouses?? I've made a cup and dipper both of which probably aren't worth much.

My dad had a very large round gourd that was used for keeping minnows.

i've seen some at a flea market outside
of town that are cut and painted up as
indian "pottery"
whoever made 'em did a slick job.

if you have an excess you aught to be
able to sell 'em easy enough.
those re-enact folks use 'em for canteens.
they make the best martin housing there is.
i'd plant some myself if i had the room.
