Ive spent a good month every day at the range with my 7mag and 264 mag hawkeyes. Between this year and last year when i gave up on them ive probably shoot well over 500 rounds through each of them doing load developement to try to find something that would shoot moa in them. Ive literaly pulled my hair out trying differnt combinations of bullets and primers and powders. Good thing is i have enough differnt 6.5 and 7mm bullets to do load developent on 5 new guns of each. bad news is id had to add up all its cost me as im sure in just the bullets ive sent down range ive spent enough between the two to buy a new rifle. Funny thing was that I finally hit paydirt with both on the same day! the 7mag was a combo of a 150 ballitic tip with 7828 and a ww mag primer. the 264 was a 120 bt with re25 and a fed match mag primer. Both shot 5 shot groups just under an inch. At that im done with it. those guns will use those loads till the day i die. Funny thing was that both bullets were the same that i got to shoot the best last year. I should have just stuck with them and did a bit more switching of powder and primers.
