I renewed my cpl (Concealed Pistol License) a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised to find out that I am now legal to carry concealed in 12 states. When I first got my license, no other state reciprocated (recognized my state's license). I haven't really kept track of it, but the last time I checked--a few years ago--there were only two, or three states that allowed my license. So we've had some progress. However, I was taken aback a bit to see that there are 30 states that accept Utah's license; my state being one of them. So what is that special about Utah's license that it is good in 18 more states? That's not a rag on Utah's license, or Utah in general, because they happen to be the closest state that does actually accept my state's license. None of our neighbor states reciprocate--douche bags. Yeah, I know the libs in this state--the ones who have had control of government for decades are some of the biggest douche bags around and that's why I'm so surprised that there has been any progress at all.
One little detail that strikes me as weird is that this state specifically calls the license a "concealed pistol license." Even the dictionary defines a pistol as a handgun with the chamber integral with the barrel. Maybe I'm not legal all the time, because I most often carry a revolver.
