I once had a cashier call me in the office in panic mode becasue he typed in $200 instead of $20,  He said "what should I do"  I said give him change for the $20.  He said won't the cash register think I shoudl have a pair of 100's.  I said how does the cash register know it was not 4 50's or 10 20's   he went oh good point.  Will my register be light.  I said only if you give him the change for hte 200 instead of the 20, and give the guy a 5% off cupon for having him wait while you freaked out.   The guy came back to the office laughing and thanked me for the cupon.  My Cashier told him it was a 5%  employee freak out cupon.   
Now you did not go back and give the $45 back to the manager or the kid?  Kind of dishonest.

there is a place i patronize just over
the city limit, about 3 miles from here
when i'm flush enough to buy out.
patties are made and cooked when you
order, and everything else is made in house.
for the cost of one of those boutique burgers,
i can get burger, taters and drink and have
a hard time finishing it. that's the small.
i've only ordered large once, the first time.
i couldn't even finish it , and had the rest
for supper. they have an xl. ( i'd hate to see
the gut that could finish that, and i ain't little)

Carl's Jr. is my go to stop these days ( if I have to have a burger, that or Whataburger).  If I'm out in AZ, I try In and Out Burger.  Buy the way, the first place I saw a Carl's Jr was in TN.......same with Chic Fillet.

 As a retired firefighter I look at any construction after the mid-1980's as crap. That's when they really started using gusset plates instead of nails to put trusses together, and 15 minutes into a house fire they all fail. When we started looking at houses a few years ago I told my Wife I wouldn't live in one made after 1985. When we first looked at the one we now live in I made it a point to go look at the attic first.

As a builder, I can say that fire restrictions are much more stringent today than it was in the mid 70's to early 80's.  Now Fire Marshals are required to inspect homes.......they look for fire blocking, fire seperations, fire doors, water heater 18 " off the floor, placement of combustables. You may not care for construction materials, but the actual construction is much more regulated today.  I never had a Fire Marshal inspect a job years ago....now it is required........I specialize in commercial high rise fire alarms  and deal with Fire Marshals daily.

You should see some of the dairy cattle that MD buys for slaughter. Old, sick, wore out, and loaded
up with drugs and steroids. Sometimes the cow just collapses dead and its left out in the sun for a
day or two before its harvested. MD gets them for free if they will just haul off the carcass.
Talk about road kill but even that might be better than what I've heard your getting from a dairy.
Look at it like this, if the Mexicans that work for the dairy won't eat it for free would you want to?
They will haul off hospital milk, that's waist milk that's full of blood and what ever else and smells
like something dead. But they won't eat those heifers only MD is fool enough to use that garbage.
They know what had been done to that cow before it died and how long it had been laying out there
in the summer heat. Maggots all over it so you might be getting some yummy insect filler in your
burger who knows. But its inspected by the state so I'm sure it will be ok.

     When I was raising cattle buying and selling was a regular Tue. trip to town and their was a row of seats reserved for the top buyers on of them was a Company called olpack they bought meat for the fast food market (hamburger meat) and they ONLY bought OLD cattle didnt matter the breed or sex as long as they were old they bought it, you could sit in the auction barn and watch as they were brought into the ring and tell which buyer was going to get what.  Jim

Somehow my experience with Mc Ds is different.


The help is very dependent on the franchise. Our local one has some pretty darned good kids working, I know for a fact four who were honors students.


You can eat about as healthy as you choose to as well. Three or four salad options with a grilled chicken breast, add a glass of un sweet tea. The salad greens are excellent quality the breast is as good as any you will find for sale. Egg whites Mc Muffin for breakfast a cup of OJ, milk or coffee, yogurt cup with some granola mixed in.


If Mc Ds was as terrible as many profess they would not be the dominating force in the industry. It's like saying Glocks are lousy handguns. You might not like them but that does not make them lousy.

Lots of dairies around Roswell, and the people associated with them tell people about this all the
time. Ranches are different cows can drop dead from the heat or because they are so stupid
they tried to eat an old Michelin tire and choked on it.
But they are breed for beef, diary cows are for milk and making more dairy cows.
Ranch beef around here is usually bought up by supermarket chains and believe it or not Wendy's.
I don't know about any of the others but I have heard all about MD and I never eat there.

17 ranches ( there is a lot of land around here) and I know a lot of them also.
Dutch people mostly with the dairys and a lot of them came here from Chino California.
