Gee, didn't Captain Kirk have one of those? Seriously though, I enjoy experimenting with and making concealment devices for handguns. One of the most promising was a dummy phone and holster to conceal a derringer. Guess I can scrap that idea.

The cell phone guns do indeed exist, and depending upon the level of security you encounter. Your cell phone will be examined.

If asked just comply with the request some points of entry in foreign countries have ABSOLUTELY no sense of humor on the subject.

Congress passed a law shortly after law enforcement discovered pistols disguised as pagers.

The law states something like this:

A firearm may not be disguised as any other object but a firearm.  Simply put..... If it's a gun, it must look like a gun.  Years ago Belt Buckles with little detachable .22 revolvers were common, along with single shot .22 pens.  But not any more.

Therefore, seeing a firearm disguised as a cellphone, pager or anything else for sale within the USA is minimal.  That doesn't mean there won't be a blackmarket or foreign visitors who have access to them.  All it means is that honest dealers and owners won't have anything to do with them.  On the other hand, I wouldn't want to get caught with one.

The problem is that a terrorist isn’t worried about breaking this law, or 100 other laws, while they are trying to kill as many of us as they can and then die themselves.

The 22 pens are out there and still being sold openly so there must be a loop hole there some where??? What about guns hidden in pagers for concealed carry???? The belt buckle guns I should think would be legal as they are in plain sight unless you have a belly like mine    so you have open carry with them?? I am not doubting you as I never read the law but just going on what I have seen. Jim

I have 1 of the belt buckle guns that I've had for 30 or so years and still wear it often.  I can't see how anyone can call this design anything but a gun disguised as a gun.

As far as the cell phone guns go, I'd like to give one to some drivers around here.  Push a button, lose an ear!     Then they might pay more attention to their driving.

I stand corrected.

They could very well be classified as Class 3 weapons.  A very expensive license.
