New to me 17hmr before & after pics
« on: January 31, 2014, 07:19:29 AM »
Just got me a new toy. Found it on the used gun rack. In new condition. It had a BSA red dot, switched it out for a Simmons 2 power. chopped the barrel & switched out the stock. Next step is a snow camo paint job. Took it out back on the snowmobile.  1 inch group at 50 yards. Plenty accurate for what I need
I dont care what gun Im using as long as Im hunting

Usually SUPER accurate!!

20g pills tend to hold together and penetrate best...  Enjoy it!!

Very nice! I would imagine with winter gear on that Tamer stock has the best LOP you could ask for, and the short barrel balances it out correctly! I put my .17HMR barrel away because of excessive weight, but now you've got me thinking of another plan... ;)...plus .17HMR was the last to disappear and the first to be re-stocked around here. Enjoy your rifle!

The tamer stock is just right for shooting with a heavy coat.
