357 shorty project scope choices?

Okay have had my 357 barrel since NOV... But I haven't shot it yet...
Debating on whether to chop it myself or send it to the smith to have him do it...
Either way... I need some help...
I had the idea of a 2-7 like a Weaver or Burris.
But then looking at a post with the 20mm fixed power scopes forward of the hammer!
WOAH!!! I like the looks of the low mounting.. Especially since I have the straight stock and schnable fore-end... I think a quick handling woods gun would make a fine GA deer/hog rifle!

There are a couple scopes that work, but I don't know of a 2x7 that will...
You want a 2 or 2.5X Simmons shotgun scope or a more costly ''scout'' scope.

I'd say CW has it right on the Simmons shotgun scopes, but I would suggest the Pro Diamond 4X model, brighter and better field of view.

I have the Bushnell Banner 4x32 with the circle X reticle on all three of my Maxis. Two Handis are mounted on Burris medium Zee rings and the Savage 24 has see through rings for shotgun mode. I like the Circle X. I use it the same as a Mildot when I change from .38s to mags to maxis. All my shortie pistol calibers wear the Bushnell/Burris combo.
