Wonder if the tax payers are paying for the new one. When new stadiums were built in Pittsburgh a referendum was put on the ballot asking voters if they wanted tax dollars used for the new stadium. It was voted down, and then the communists they voted for did it anyway with tax dollars. I think just about every stadium build now is using tax payers money to build them. The lie is that they will bring revenue to the city. Heck Detroit is bankrupt, yet the same people that bankrupt the city is still going to use tax dollars to build a Redwings stadium. Its the new ploy now for sports team owners. Claim they will leave town if they don't get a new building to play in. Then they have the tax payers build it for them, with the help of corrupt politicians.
Just googled this and found out that its projected at 975 million, so for sure it will run over a billion. 150 million will be funded by the tax payers of Minneapolis and 348 million from tax payers in the rest of the state. So half the cost is tax payer funded. Its no wonder this country is broke.
Look at our shiny new stadium, now we have to raise taxes, and ticket prices.
