Henry .22 Mag forearm movement
« on: February 05, 2014, 12:44:48 AM »
I have back and forth movement of my wooden forearm on my Henry .22 Magnum rifle Model H001. The rifle was bought new and has yet to be fired. Tightening the barrel band screw doesn't improve or lessen the back and forth movement along the underside of the feed tube and into the front of the receiver. There is no movement from side-to-side but the back and forth is somewhat noticable. I'm a little disappointed with the fit and finish especially on a new gun but I don't think it will affect the shooting. Maybe some play is acceptable? Wondering if anybody knows how I might could tighten it up a little bit. Thanks.
