kingdom,
Last time I checked with HBB they where only making the rifled 410 barrel for T/C Encores. HBB did make a couple of H&R rifled 410s, I had a chance to buy one and didn't
, but I haven't see one listed for sale in 4 or 5 years. IF, you have a rifling cut in a smoothbore 410 you are going to have a groove diameter of .416 to .420 inch which is way oversize for any 410 factory slug that I know about. The fosters will "bump up" when shot but I don't know what can of accuracy you would have plus the barrel leading issue. IMO, you will have to handload your own 410 slugs if you want to take advantage of a rifled 410 barrel. If you use plastic hulls and need a bullet of say .42" diameter, then you may need to neck ream the hull to chamber the round. If you use all brass 410 hulls from RMC then you can spec your hull ID and eliminate the neck turning issue. Magtech sells cheaper 410 brass hulls but I don't know the dimensions of their hulls.
Good luck with your project.
