I wouldn't need a bathroom for at least a week. Forget the rifles, I'd want a dbl bbl with heavy buckshot loads. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

Not really a lucky man so much as a skilled hunter. When you have a Lion charging you wait until it's near impossible to miss a head shot and then hit the bang switch which turns his lights out forever. I've been on one of these hunts and I'll tell you that if you think the hair on the back of your neck won't stand straight out- yer wrong. I didn't do any shooting and the lion didn't charge me but until my eyes got back in my head that lion was bigger than any locomotive you've ever seen. The guide that shot the lion was an experienced hunter and his advice before we left was if you turn your back, yer dead. Wait until it's impossible to miss and then shoot. Just as it is in this vid.

That would be a bad time for a misfire.  Would make a fella' REAL careful about his reloads.

Not much shooting for 4 armed men, I think I only counted 3 shots. I'd still want my dbl bbl. LARRY. I bet that was quite an experience. POWDERMAN.  :o :o

I sometimes wonder if they dont shoot each other. The hunter was out in front of a few of those rifles.

Only double shotty I'd want would be loaded with heavy, hard cast lead slugs.  At that range buckshot would have small pattern and then you have to worry about small lead breaking down heavy bone/muscle.  I would want my "bullets" to come out the far side after breaking everything in the middle.

At some point a .50 BMG might be comforting.

The reasoning behind a double triggered double rifle is that it is really 2 mechanisms so if one fails the other is separate.  A drilling would be a comfort, too.   Anyone want to prove his manhood with a spear like the natives used to?  I don't think a tree would help all that much.
just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they are not watching you

I'd rather be shooting down while he was climbing up.....it's a thought anyway. :o

KENNY. YES, it seems a drilling would be good. I mentioned a dbl bbl shotgun because years ago in a hunting mag I read that a dbl bbl 12 ga with hvy charges of large buckshot was the go to gun for wounded big cats by the professional hunters.. I don't know, but Larry might have a bit more input on that, I have NO personal experience in these things. . POWDERMAN.  :o :o
