Tang sight
« on: February 11, 2014, 01:58:08 AM »
I'm looking to put a tang sight on a uberti 1885 high wall and 1871 uberti rolling block, I'm interested in short range 200 yard max distance for hunting. I'm working on a budget and was wondering if there are any good sights for hunting out there that are relatively inexpensive, this would be for hunting only, not long range target work, any suggestions? Thanks

I recently took a "like new" Marbles Improved Tang Sight off my Uberti High Wall when I replaced it with a Ron Heilman long range tang sight. The Marbles is for sale if you're interested. Might be more expensive than you're thinking of paying, but it includes low, medium and high posts and 3 different apertures. $100.00 shipped TYD in ConUS. Email me if you're interested. P.S. It comes in the original Marbles box.

Use the barrel sights that came on those rifles for hunting. They'll work a bunch better than a tang sight. You won't find a tang sight much worth owning for under a couple hundred dollars.
Not sure why folks balk at spending money to get a good scope to put on their modern centerfire, but scream about spending the same or less for a dependable tang sight?
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....
