Shipping barrels?

Am I right in assuming it is legal to ship a  barrel only through the mail to a home address? The receiver has to go to an FFL.   Yes-no?

Barrel or stock.  Ok to home
Receiver only to an FFL

Yes, barrels can go anywhere to anyone but the frames or whole guns must go to an FFL.

Just curious LT. Can't you ship a long gun or receiver to another individual (private sale) within your State of Virginia without going through a FFL?
