Thanks for all the in put ...........................I believe the .280 is next . Tim that link was great ... it even made me feel alot better about my 7mm/08 . The .284 dia  is  hard to beat

Yup I had it backwards. With would mirror a lot of the things I do. :o    I still like it and just about any other 7mm on the market.

Through the ammo 'shortage', and still, there has been 30-06 and 270 on the Walmart shelf, now there is 308 and 223, which was not available last year.
Ive come to the conclusion I dont need, or want, the whole caliber spread or much 'overlap' anymore; kinda heading to the KIS end of selection makes sense.
If I had a total loss fire or theft I could see me getting a 270 for varmints through deer for my area and 'needs'.
