I envy you. We still have at least 6" of snow on the ground and probably a foot of frost under that. It will probably be 1 1/2 to 2 months before anything goes in the ground around here. But I sure am looking forward to it.

We're closer to 3' of snow with another 6" tonight.  My onion plants won't be delivered until mid April.  But the good news is that it is supposed to get up in the 20's this week.

My onion seedlings are still in flats, under a grow light.  We have 6-8" of old snow.  Just got a couple inches of freezing rain/snow/sleet mix on top of it today.  Its a mess out there.

the cold isn't over here yet.
i'll be raking some leaves to
cover over everything with.
i've had icy slush in a canteen
before during a march hog hunt.
my granny always put her onions
down on valentines day.
we had more ice and such here
than i counted on, and i didn't
get to turn as much dirt back
a month ago as i wanted to.
i have noticed gardening supplies
are flying out of the stores here
a bit more than usual. maybe
some of that hope and change? ;)
