Snowshoeing Again.... & coon
« on: February 17, 2014, 12:10:25 AM »
Well have  snowshoe trail  punched out to beehives, now with snostorm coming will have to retrack to hives.   This long cold spell  is going to raise heck with bee survival..... Saw a coon last nite running across snowbank.....the love bug has  started and the males are plowing thru deep snow.....  Supposedly to get another 4-8  inches which will cause the males more problems.  But thaw coming so should get crust and coons can travel better.   They better be able  becuase  we have had distemper here for last ten years and coon population is very low.
