What about the people that only use wood and coal as their heat source.  Many people living in rural Alaska only have wood stoves to heat their homes, they are not going to stop burning wood.  With fuel oil at $8.00 a gallon they can't afford anything else.  I for one will tell them to put their new rules where the sun don't shine, and keep burning.  I will guarantee that if EPA comes to homes in Rural Alaska, and tells the folks they have to quite using their wood stoves someone will get shot.  Odds are the bodies will never be found.

Can we say "One way hike in Grizzly Country".  Bears, Coyotes, Foxes, and Ravens, don't leave much.  Or dig a hole and drop the body through the ice in the Tanana River.  Come spring it will be ground up by the ice and not much left.

Dand what say you?

That's where the communists always go wrong... it's called "central planning"..

Commies are so thick, they can't even understand that what works in Los Angeles, may not work well in Dead Horse..or what works well in Miami, may not work well in Fargo !

Sometimes one wonders.  Don't think it can't happen here...it seems the same looney left that doesn't cringe at 60,000,000 infant killings..could easily stand and watch others being slaughtered.

your from Florida theres probably not 10 woods stoves in the state. Id bet theres at least as much pollution created in FL by the electric demand of AC units running 24/7 then what is produced by wood stoves in michigan. Its just like was said. Its all about the tax money. People buy wood up here from good old boys that go out in there pickup and cut a load and sell it for cash. No taxes involved. Thats why the goverment is getting involved. Not because of pollution. If they were conserned about that they wouldnt bet Jetting around in private jets, sailing 100 foot yachts or driving bentlys. They would shut the heat and air off in the capital building and the white house and use blankets and fans. Id love to know what the power bill is just for the capital in an average month. Id bet its more then my total cost for 3-5 years. Yup you are correct in that its like vehicles today. Its a stupid libearl new green deal farce. For the car manufactures to produce electric cars that theres no way we have the capability of charging and when we do its with coal fired power plants making the power. If you honestly believe this is about pollution then your much dumber then I thought and much more brain washed then i thought too. NOT wanting goverment interference. Are you shitting me or do you have the lights turned off. Look at what the biden adminstration is f-ing up right now today and you want and trust with this. Id bet youd be jumping up and down and madder then hell if the epa said NO MORE AC units in homes. Everyone (other then politicians) has to start getting by with a fan.
First the subject line is a very misleading spin. Production and sale of NEW stoves will need to meet the new regs. Just like we had to do with getting pollution under control with vehicles. You do not have to replace the current stove you are using. You can always look for a used one too. At the Tractor Supply Store the stoves that meet or exceed the new regs range from around $600-$1,200 depending upon size. Is that cost a whole lot higher than previous stoves. Additionally the new stoves are more efficient to boot. It seems that many here would rather die of pollution, etc. then see anything that is considered government interference.

I started to add my 2 cents on this but that would not be possible with being thrown off of this site. Our home is heated with a wood burning stove and is our only source of heat.

I appreciate it Bill but if I actually responded in the manner I was tempted to it would have been laced with profanities and not the right thing to do.

The wife and I have worked hard all of our lives to raise our kiddos and make our way through life. When we bought our place here in the Texas Hill Country it was the realization/accomplishment of a dream and it seems as if every time we turn around there's something else. We both have our own small businesses and it seems like every time we turn around there are more government regs local, state and federal with more challenges and now we are being threatened with the just the basics of heating our home in the coming years.

yup its getting ridiculous. Government telling you what you can drive, how you have to heat your home, what your kids wear to school, what is taught in school, how much you have to pay employees even making us have to have "papers" to go out to eat!!
