ever since i cleaned my hadi rifle .223 rifle bore it wont group, 2 inches or worse!

What did you clean the bore with? And maybe more importantly did you clean from the breech end or the muzzle end? Is you bore oil free when your're shooting for groups?

If we know a little more on how it was cleaned we might be able to help.

the first time was with a cleaner that did leave a oil film,but i shot probably60 rounds through it, then i started using shooters choice,cleaned it 2 more times, im shooting reloads,4 different kinds of powder.

you may want to reduce the number of variables. try one powder, one charge weight, one bullet, measure groups then change one variable to determine it's affect on group size.

maybe you can talk about how the gun was cleaned, what powder, bullet cases, sizing dies, seating depth, etc, you are using. that may shed some light on what going between the time you pull the trigger and when the bullet hits the paper !

Check to see if you got oil on the locking bolt or the locking ledge on the barrel lug. That could change lockup. If you took the barrel off, you likely changed the tension on the forearm screw. That can change accuracy, too.

what is locking bolt, locking ledge? im new to these guns.i didn't take the barrel off,but i recently put a rubber washer between forearm and barrel.

DJ's point is dead on the money. I have 4 of these beasts and can change the point of impact and or group size with nothing more than the forearm screw. Put the forearm on, tighten the screw untill it hits the wood and stop.

what is locking bolt, locking ledge? ive already sanded some of the inside of the stock,do i just go ahead and take the rubber out and put it back on?

are the synthetics sensitive to forearm screw torque too ?

Jose, take the o ring out, and take only one load out with you to the range (same bullet, powder charge and type etc etc), and a phillips screwdriver.

Sit the bags up and rest the rifle over the bags EXACTLY the same for every shot.

Tighten the screw until it JUST touches wood and shoot a group.

Tighten the screw about an eighth of a turn and shoot another group.

Keep tightening the screw in this manner until it is pretty dang tight, shooting a group between each tightening.

This will show you the difference the forearm screw tension will make in your accuracy.

Then put the o ring back in and do the same thing.

You may find that you don't need the o ring. Mine didn't. In fact my gun shoots worse with the o ring in it.

yeah that was the problem,i took the oring out put the stock back on(i had sanded the channel so there was still some clearance) it shot a little better, took it off and put a piece of paper towel in the channel,just snugged the screw and my groups came back,a 1 inch square i put 3 out 5 in it,i know of them i flinched. thanks a whole lot for everybodys help!what could i put in the channel instead of a paper towel to leave permanent?is was thinking about some wood filler? instead of buying another stock!

i glass bedded the stock and tried it out,i could only shoot about 45 yards because the wind is blowing right to left 20 -30 where i have my bench,it grouped within a inch with 40 grain sierra hollow points,better with 55 grainsv- max

I use a magnetic rubber strip that I cut to fit the oval opening in the forearm. I cut the hole for the barrel flange with paper hole punch and it is a snug fit, no wiggle.

did yours not group good floating the barrel with the rubber washer? how does it group now?
