stopped today at a retail store and saw at
least 2 dozen boxes of cci mini-mags for
sale. out in the open. just like days of old.
no scum bucket gougers grabbing and snatching.
i didn't need or buy any, but just stood and
looked at 'em for a while. first time in many
many months i've seen that sight.  :'(   :'(

WE have a Gander Mountain that opened up here a few months back. They had over 1000 boxes of 22 LR sitting on the shelf. I've never seen that much 22 LR sitting on anybodies shelf for sale. Bad news, they wanted $5.99 a box for 50 rounds. It was Remington Golden ammo. I decided they didn't have anything I'll ever want. Their other ammo was priced just as bad with 308 at 35 dollars a box of 20, 35 Remington at 54 dollars a box of 20. Guns were priced about 30% over retail. Never have seen anybody get out money in that store. While they packed in a big crowd the first few days being open, there was never anybody at a cash register putting the money down. I don't think they'll be there long.

I should have taken a pictuer myself!  I was in Cabelas Saturday and the shelf that's been NAKED for six months was loaded ten deep and five to six tall with cases of 17 HMR and 22Mag!!!!! They even had a doz or so bricks of LR Fiocchi target stuff at 110$ a brick!  But it was target ammo and always was double standard LR.

Just wait a little more, the prices will come down.  The good news, I paid $2.49 for a box of 50 count, Federal 22's at Dick's.  The bad news, still a limit on 2 boxes per day, per caliber for rifle, or pistol ammo.  Shotgun ammo doesn't have a limit on purchases.

i didn't even think to ask the price
or if there was a limit.
i was so amazed and astounded
that there was some .22 long rifle
ammo sitting on the shelf i didn't
even think to check.
other than the 20.00 bulk packs
of .22 for sale at the shows for
75.00 up, that's the first .22 i've
seen for sale at a retail store in
months and months. no exaggeration
or embellishment. i really can't
recall when the last time was i saw any.

Let's all spend "a few months window shopping" and see how the supply and price looks then. Can't get any worse. ear
