Connecticut: Last Chance, Comply With Gun Registration Or Else

As of January 1st 2014, a new Connecticut law is requiring all “assault weapons” and magazines that hold over ten rounds to be registered with the state.  So far well over 90% of Connecticut gun owners have refused to comply with the law.  The Connecticut government is now sending the following letter to people giving them one last chance to comply.

Those in non-compliance are technically committing a felony but good luck to these clowns trying to enforce this.  They would literally have to arrest and charge hundreds of thousands of people.

This shows what mass civil disobedience can do.  Let them charge and arrest even a few hundred and people will be out on the streets.  They will ironically shoot themselves in the foot if they try to do anything.  Stay tuned..

Breaking News: Gun Confiscation Letters Sent Out in Connecticut!

Since last year’s tragic Sandy Hook shooting, Connecticut lawmakers have “led” the nation in violating their citizens’ second amendment rights!

In Connecticut, the state legislature passed a bill banning so-called “high capacity” magazines (anything above 10 rounds) and semi-automatic rifles with certain prohibited cosmetic attachments.

Anyone who owned a magazine or rifle before the law was passed was grandfathered in, but they were also forced to register these “dangerous weapons” with the state before January 1, 2014. Well, the registration deadline came and went and the registration numbers are quite interesting…

Just like in neighboring New York, gun owners in Connecticut are refusing to register their firearms with the state. These law-abiding citizens became felons overnight when the Connecticut legislature passed a law that arbitrarily outlawed their previously legal firearms. A total of 47,916 people registered their firearms and another 40,000 people registered their “high capacity” magazines with the State of Connecticut by the January 1st deadline. However, that could represent as little as 4% of the total number of “assault weapons” and prohibited magazines owned in the state.

In a massive show of civil disobedience, gun owners have refused to comply with the mandated registration and, as a result, Connecticut’s unjust law has created upwards of 100,000 felons who have otherwise committed no crime!

Now, however, the State is going after these gun owners and has begun sending out gun confiscation letters!

Tell Congress that the RIGHT to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed!

You see, many gun owners tried to send in their registration forms by the deadline but did not account for the fact that the post office would be closed for New Year’s. This led to a number of registration forms arriving after the deadline. Rather than introduce new legislation to extend the registration window, Governor Dannel Malloy unilaterally decided to extend the deadline for three days. That means that all registration forms received by January 4th would still be accepted.

Well, a few hundred applications still arrived after this second arbitrary deadline and the State of Connecticut has decided to go after these law-abiding gun owners!

As we speak, a little over two-hundred confiscation notices are en route to Connecticut citizens who own semi-automatic rifles and prohibited magazines. Rather than treat the late registration forms as applications, the state is treating them like notarized admissions of guilt!

See, that's what happens to law abiding citizens.  If those citizens had decided not to register then nobody would know they own a 'assault rifle' and could go after them.

new yorks law is just as bad, even worse.  But few new yorkers are stupid enough to fall for gov kwomo's rants about making the streets safer and less than .2%  (2,800 of 1,400,000) have registered.  Fortunately the law was so poorly written that in ny there are so many loopholes that even the gov't can't get around them.  I love stupid politicians.

Wait a minute; if the state already knows who has these guns and magazines, why must they be registered?  If the state doesn't already know who has these items, why would anyone comply with this UnConstitutional order?  For those who have registered their stuff, how long do they think it will be before the commies come to confiscate them?

This lawless act by the Conn. state legislature and Governor should be considered a declaration of war on gun owners and the lives of all those who voted for it, signed it and attempt to enforce it should be left to the fortunes of war.

Where is the American Rifle Association on this one?  Are there no patriots in Connecticut?  There should be a few million armed citizens marching around the state capital.  Light it up!!

If I lived in Conn ( and I can assure you I won't) I would get a bunch of buddies together and rent a self storage in Va. Pick up a few HD gang boxes and set up a storage . Let things cool off then ease back into normal life. OR MOVE .
One question is will the rejected form be enough for probable cause  to get a warrant ? If so what happens if they find nothing ?

california has already started a similar program...APPS...Armed Prohibited Persons System
DOJ is screening records...anyone seen as being "Prohibitted" from owning a firearms and having one is being raided by armed SWAT/DOJ agents and having firerms confiscated.*
go to www.calguns.net for lots of info
it IS an alraming development, indeed...hopefully the people of CT will overcome the blatant disregard for the second amendment shown by the legislature.
*how does one get on to a "Prohibitted" list and still be able to purchase a firearm legally? if they purchased a firearm, they are on a "List"...or not?
