I'm so sick of PETA and animal rights organizations.  If one's coming at me, I'm shooting it.  They make the animal worth more than a human.  8(  Sometimes government officials and agencies are stupid to the point of being imbeciles.  If people purposefully hunt and kill something illegally, then it's their due, I guess.  I know they have blatantly ignored evidence down in the lower peninsula also.  8(  There have been 3 sightings by reputable people here within 10 miles of where I work and live.

I too am sick of the animal rights organizations like PETA and the DNR!

I don't know the details of this incident, but I agree with tackleberry - if one gets close to me I'll consider it a threat and take appropriate action.

Twenty years ago, my wife, Patty, had one cross M-117, 9 o'clock in the morning, right in front of her car at Kak's Lake, just a few yards south of M-28.  The DNR said she was mistaken ::)   Yeah, sure....what resembles a cougar?  Perhaps a large house cat???  I forget what year it was, but it was her birthday...Oct. 8.

They're one of the reasons I don't allow anyone to go out back over the hill on my place without a weapon that can stop a bear, cougar or wolf.

Both my vehicles are outside, running right now.  Both tell me it's twenty five below. The news says it's minus 16 in Newberry???  Engadine is supposed to be in the Banana Belt.  A 7 a.m. the vehicles are saying minus 28 :o :o

DNR must be mistaken and the cat that was killed was a big house cat per their own B/S spewed. If there isn't any then there was none killed.
Was a balmy 21 below here yesterday 63 days this winter with below zero temps, also the second snowiest winter on record and it is snowing right now. More in the forecast for Saturday night and Sunday morning.

I was driving in Michigan, up M-37 just south of Baldwin a few years ago, and a full grown cougar walked across the road in front of me, in plain site.  There's NO mistaken exactly what it was, I got a perfect view of it, as it WALKED across the road.
