Who carries handis IN STOCK in the DFW area?
« on: February 26, 2014, 11:06:26 AM »
Anybody know of a place in the dfw area that carries a decent selection of handis? I'm not a fan of buying guns online. There are a couple of places that will sell a model or two (usually the survivor in 308 is all I can find) but not a whole lit else.

Any tips from folks in the dfw area would be appreciated.

academy on forest lane, and the
dick's at arlington or rockwall are
the only places i've ever found that
have any. if you can wait until dick's
puts them on sale again, (if they do) you can
pick up a nice one for a good price.
now. . . .if you want a tacticool something-or-other,
just stop at any shop you see.

They will order the caliber you want, if you ask them.  Might take a while, but they can do it.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

if you stop at central expressway
unless you want some new togs
for tennis, or a pack of golf tees
they're less than enthused to see you.

there used to be 10-12 thriving full
service gun shops here in the s.e
corner of dallas when i was a runt.
now most folks around here use
their peestolas and car-a-beens
for shoot in the air on july the 4th,
and new years, and for ventilating
stop signs at 3am. ( and each other)

there are a few legit local gun shops that will still order
what you want at a good price. i don't know if you feel
that way, but i'd rather give them my dollars than a chain
where you won't get any help if you need some down the road.

Depends where you are in the DFW area. Wiley's Gun shop in Wills Point TX. usually has a decent selection of them. They have signs out on I-20 telling you how to get there. They are a gun shop that still has guns out on racks where you can look at them instead of behind the counter.

I would call the Gander Mountain Firearms Super Center in Mesquite, it's the first and only one of these stores they've opened so far. They usually carry several different models and can order what they don't have in the store. Also, the Gallery of Guns website has a lot of H&R's in stock right now, some on sale. If you haven't used the site before you just pick the brand you want and then go down and type in your zip code. If you see one you want just click on it and when the next page comes up you'll see a red box that says, Instant Quote, click there and it will pull up the stores in your zip code area with each stores price. If you want it, you put a down payment online, then they ship it to the store you chose and you'll pay the rest there when you pick it up. I've bought 4 guns from the site and have always received the best price from them on the guns I bought.

You take the Highway 47 exit off of I-20, go south on 47 about 4 miles or so and you'll see a sign by the road you turn left on where it is. The road is just before you get to Highway 243 where there is a flashing 2 way stop light. I've been in there many times and have some friends that live about 15 minutes south of there. They have a 100 yard range there and might let you shoot something if you want too.
