CVA mountain rifle

Good morning everyone,

Well I stumbled onto a CVA mountain rifle on gunbroker. Bid on it and won the auction. This one is a 50 cal.

Haven't received it yet, just sent the mo yesterday. But I'm wondering about a couple things. This one has the made in USA stamped on its browned barrel. It has the puter forend cap & nickel silver patch box. Is that all correct for this gun?  ;)

it all sounds right. I believe the wedge escutcheons may also be german silver.

I don't know how to post links or photos. And I think the auction has been removed by now. When I get the gun I can take photos & email them. I'm just a old dinosaur, don't ya know.

Friend of mine has one he bought new for the princely sum of $89 in 1980 or so. Although long in the tooth and could use some TLC, it's still a great prb shooter.

So good, in fact, I picked one up for myself a few years back!
