What have you broken on your FA?
« on: February 28, 2014, 03:05:44 AM »
Me-Timing issue(skip'n)along with bolt & trigger return spring and FP.
Had to send it back for the 'over-rotation' & FP upgrade with the screw in bushing.
FA did the repair and upgrade for free as I'm the original owner. But UPS ship'n was a killer in fees. FA did pay the return postage  8)
Yeah-I shoot my .454 a lot. ;D
Have to say, I was surprised that the well made wire springs broke.  :o

Nuttin. Even when I had a .454 Casull I didn't shoot max loads in it so never shook anything loose.

I had an action spring break on a model 97 in 45 Colt.  It was a hammer spring if I remember correctly.  I bought this revolver used and I shot it a lot.  I called FA.  They diagnosed it over the phone and offered to send the spring and talk me through the repair.  I elected to send it back so they could give it a full check up.  It was back to me in about 10 days.  No charge other than one way shipping.  I was happy.  It has been trouble free since.  I shoot and hunt with FAs regularly.  It's the only thing that's broken so far.

Oops! I forgot that I also had an ejector rod housing screw shear off ... on a .357, of all things.
