WHEN GRANDPA CAME TO TOWN
« on: November 06, 2019, 12:21:34 PM »
That's the name of my book.
It's on Amazon as a Kindle ebook and paperback.
I have come up with some things that seems to be a start of another book, no title yet.

Surprisingly, it's already sold quite a few copies even though it is a short book.

I had plans to write a book. Got started on it and had a fair idea of what I wanted to write but finally decided I just didn't have it in me.

back when my learning disabled son was a little boy he was a big fan of the power rangers and ninja turtles. I used to tell him stories every night where he was the hero. My ma told he I should put them on paper and get them published. Kind of a hero story where you filled in your own kids name. I wrote two manuscripts or whatever you would call them with 4 stories in each of them and never did bother trying to get he published. My mother and sister were elementary school teachers at the time and would have story time and the kids all wanted those stories  so once a week they would draw a name for the kid who was the hero that day. She said the kids never got sick of the same story all the time as long as one of them was the hero. Havent thought of that in years. thanks for jogging my memory.

I wrote mine over a period of several years.
As I think of things, I write it down in an email to my wife who collects pictures and puts it all together for publishing.
It's not too late to re-commence. :)

That's great, and if it's something you can put down in book format, those kind of books are very popular on Amazon.

Go to amazon kindle store and put the title in the search bar.  I think it overpriced to be honest but amazon thought otherwise. :o

feel free to use the idea. I don't have the desire or patients to do it again.

$2.99 for the kindle edition isn't bad. I have over that much in credit for choosing the slower shipping option when I order something that I'm not in a big hurry for. I just might give your book a try.

Bug,
Your book I ordered from amazon arrived Sunday morning. I noticed the mailman had thrown it over the fence along with some other packages. I opened it immediately and finished it before supper time.

I loved the book. Knowing you as the author just added to my enjoyment. Have you started on another book? I hope so.

Yeah I've started another one.
After this one was published I thought of a million other things I should have put in it.
So, maybe in another year I'll put out a new one..
