BLEED OVER
« on: November 10, 2019, 08:40:31 AM »
Hey Bill, or Matt, or both, I noticed that some threads are combining posts, kinda confusing.
Like the thread "GBO"  and Dee's thread on his new boat, and a couple more.
It's like the Dejavu the Dee memtioned.

Gotta admit I don't know what "bleed over" means. I just read both threads and saw nothing at all that didn't belong in them. Maybe Matt has already fixed it but I see nothing to fix in either.

Here's what's happening.   when you are reading posts and you get to the bottom, there is a "next" button.
If there's some more posts in the thread, it will show them.
If there are no more posts in that thread, the "next" button will send you to another thread but not at the beginning of the other thread.  It's always down several posts. :o
It can sometimes seem like changing horses in the middle of the stream.

If any of this makes sense, I hope it can be fixed.

That's what caused me to think threads were being combined.  the second thread, if it had similar posts, was confusing.
Or, I'm losing my mind. :o

OK I think I understand what you are talking about. I'm not sure the function of that Previous and Next hot links but I don't think they have anything to do with the thread you are in. I think it takes you to the next or previous posts made before and after the one you are reading forum wide not within that thread.

Simple solution, just don't click on Previous or Next. I never have until I did just now to see what you were talking about.

My question, when does the site take out all the trash?

Yup that's what I meant. It's no big deal I was just wondering how that option worked.

It's good to go back to if you think you missed something. I had to delete a couple of music videos
that wouldn't open because of a bad YouTube URL. I noticed they ended up over there.
Digging around in the trash, humm might find something to eat for my dog lol.

I still like the way this site crops the sentences correctly. And we don't get a last edited notification.
If you try to go back and fix something, or add something.

Hey Matt, you know what would be differant here and worth a try? A like button, but they would still have the
option to post also. Quote and hit a like, it would still be a post.
