I woke up this morning and... (well it was Tuesday Morning)

This may not be novel to many of you but here in the desert it is; especially in the middle of a 5 year drought.  I had to run a 3 or 4 mile loop and I ran into some more surprises:










1 She Kitten



Two She Cats



A Tom



and another She Kitten.

I was able to release two of the she cats and came home with a nice 40 or so inch Tom and a 37 inch She.

So how do you find your traps in this kind of snow...especially if they are on grapples?  I use a metal detector and never is the sound of nothing so nice.

I gotta go now ...have to practice my SNOW DANCE.

Oh yeh I snared something the day before but I can't tell you about it :twisted:

What kind of camera is that you are a using?
Beautiful photos always, and obviously a digital.
 I was looking at a 3.2  megapixl unit,  Cannon I think.
I gotta get me one of those.   You could easily write a very informative and salable book, using the same format you use on the forum.
Show a scene, Ask... where would you set up the place?
And develop the mentality of the reader, teach!
It is cool!   Ask questions,   Here?   why?                                                      Baits,  set locations,  Traps and snares,  
I will buy the first copy off the press!
Even though the terrain here is in no way similar.

Hey Knife!   You are a little late about the book--  WQ already wrote one and I got the first copy but it was a 300 page book and I was a little disappointed that the last 296 pages were blank. :twisted:

The Camera I use is a Pentax 430 RS  4 megapixels.  I had the occassion to visit with the Camera guy for a friend of mine.  HE told me if I were to walk through thdoor today and ask for a camera he would sell me an OlympusStylus 10 (Dang I hope thats correct on the model...just came out)  The main dif is this olympus model is weather proof and therefore better for me out and about in the wet and slippy.  Now I just told you about all I know of picture taking and picture taking machines.

There you have it I just try to help some and that dad blasted Rascal goes and slanders me.  OK Joey, you just wait maybe next year you'll haul your sorry butt over here and run traps with me :twisted:  Then I'm fixin to learn you how I catch me Jackasses and I'm gonna do it for you first hand heh heh heh

Asa, I grew up with that kinda snow and all I can say it was great when I was a kid.  I don't really mind the snow it is the 1 too 10 inches of mud that follows...ranch roads aren't paved ya know.

Cat-man-do, that poor thing...I have never seen such a dazed critter.  She got to the end of the drag hit that pile of old fencing...had to cut the trap out andI couldn't save her.
