I didn't know that he had that many albums out. It populated two pages. I would say he is a folk singer.
Just like Arlo Guthrie and Joan Baez have said they are. Folk music is in a league of its own.

now I love stevie nix as much as any male our age and liked Fleetwood mac but in my opinion there not in the same league. Now #1 female rock vocalist would be hard call between nix and crow.

trained in opera, and she sure wasn't the fat lady lol. And she was just as hot as Stevie.

sadly most of the rock musicians from the 60s and 70s are hard core liberals. At least in country music theres a good many conservatives. Or at least they pretend to be to sell records because there fans are.

liberals. Like this lady, who named her band accordingly. She pulled it off for a while, until she defended
Ronald Reagan.

Yep, one of the best female vocalists of all time.

This woman has a set of pipes as well, her name is Signe Anderson. She was the original singer of Jefferson Airplane before Grace Slick. She's only on their first album. She left the band after having her first child, she wanted to focus on motherhood instead:

Thanks, she's high up there in my book. Here's another one who never made it big but has a fantastic voice, her name is Irene Greene and reminds me a little of Ann Wilson in that she can sound both tough and sexy.

Going back that far I liked Joan Baez. Actually she identified with Folk not Rock. Although she did some rock.
