Wearing PAJAMAS in public?? A pet peeve of mine.
« on: December 12, 2019, 02:56:56 PM »
I really get tired of seeing folks in the stores wearing their pajamas, mainly women. So tempting to say, oops, I see ya didn't have time to get dressed.  My Sister even wore some to my Uncles visitation before his funeral. There's a name for those pants, but can't think of it. Patty wears them too but don't really look like pajamas. I guess I'm just old fashioned, but I don't like it. What's next?? Panties and bra on the outside?? CHARLIE.  >:( >:(

Let's not make this a racial thing, cause it isn't. This whole world has gone bat crap crazy, to include some of us here on GBO.

Mind you I have no idea why folks do this kinda stuff, but they do. It in no way offends me, I find it to be comical, and comic relief is nice every now and then. Just remember you can only be offended if you want to be.

Who would ever hire those freaks?? Or is that the idea?? Nobody will hire me.
The reason?? Easy answer, attention, or as some say, making a statement. It says to me, HEY, look  at me, I'm stupid and hoping for lifetime welfare. CHARLIE.  ;D ;D

I don't like the wild hair and never was a fan of any tatoos but that's there business and if they want to look a fool so be it. But as far as wearing sweats in the store. Doesn't matter much if its a women or man I could care less. I sure don't dress up or change clothes to go to some place like Walmart. If I put sweats on that day I sure as heck will wear them to the store.  Everyone has a right to wear what they want just like I do and if that's how there comfortable why would it even remotely get under my skin. Im sure many of them don't care for the fact ive got a gun in my waste band but I don't give a rip about that either. this is a FREE country. I can remember when I was young that everyone in churches jaw would drop if you walked in wearing jeans. Now about 3/4s of the men in church wear them including me. Nobody elses business but my own what I wear as long as it isn't indecent.

Well, we can now honestly call them fruits and freaks. Some of these new fads these days make the old
Goth freak fad look normal. I didn't mean anything racist, but so far around here it's only those folks
who are doing it. Heck, may as well dress up like an Alien. No one would even notice that.

With all these people moving in here from all around the country. It's amazing what they are bringing
with  them. With all their customs and habits. If conservative Claire Chase gets elected to Congress she's
going to put us back on the map. So far it looks like she's way ahead of her liberal democrat opponent.

i can understand those (like myself) that don't have many dress-type
clothes, and those (like myself) who's clothing is mostly stuff that's
somewhat worn.
but to dress as if you just crawled out from under an underpass somewhere
(quite a few actually do in this area) is just them showing contempt for
everyone else.
when i was a little kid (mostly before that) folks would dress in their
finest for travel or where they would be in close proximity to others folks,
as in on a train or bus or plane. my own family were pretty low on the
income scale in their younger years, and had one set of clothing for
everyday wear and working, and a new set they'd wear for church and
public gatherings. when a new set of clothing could be afforded, like
after the year's crops and animals were sold, they'd buy a new set,
and the "new" clothes were relegated to everyday and work use.
everything they owned could fit in a modern walmart sack with room
to spare.

to me, it's exactly like those who go about in public with a load of B.O.
wafting from their unwashed selves.
of course, i'm not referring to those are just off work, or are in the midst
of a job (BTDT myself) but those who are contemptuous of their fellow
citizens.

People in pajamas are just too lazy to get dressed.
Others are too lazy to pull their pants up.

Folks should speak up about it, otherwise, it will only get worse.
Pretty soon women will shop in panties and bra and men in their skivvies.

And, it'll probably get worse anyway, no matter what we do or say.
I'm glad that I'm old.

Here in this thread we have the resident socialists. They think they should decide what people wear, how often they bathe. Heck probably what kind of car they drive or what brand of soda they buy. This is a free country and having green hair doesn't make you a socialist. Telling someone it doesn't fit your way of thinking does! No different then throwing someone out of a store because he has a "make America great" hat on. I put on clean clothes every day. Do you? Mine might have a hole in it or a stain. I can afford to buy new but don't. So you think I shouldn't be allowed in public? I take a shower every day. EVERY DAY. Do you? If not maybe you shouldn't be allowed in Walmart. I drive a new truck. Do you? maybe I shouldn't have to look at your old rusty 10 year old car or truck! It offends me! Personal id about bet that half those kids with purple and green hair are more intelligent and better people then the judgmental hyocrites here. I remember in the 70s I had long hair. My dad sure didn't like it. Most people that were our age back then didn't like it. Seems that we grew up just fine. There kids. There just looking for attention. There not ax murderers. Seems to me most of the kids that does these school shootings are good looking clean cut kids. Where is Jesus in kicking some poor homeless guy out of Walmart because his clothes are dirty and tattered and he doesnt pass your smell test! Ive never seen a bunch any more judgemental then on here. Id love to put on a dirty stained set of sweats and a t shirt with holes in it and a hat that says "Make my day" and go to a store near you and see if you really have the nuts to say something. Maybe a women but how about a 250lb man! Yup it would require a  "hidden button" because that's the only way it would get done.

I find most of the more radical stuff I see people do more amusing than anything. I can easily avoid anyone that is dirty or stinky. Something that eludes me is understanding why so many women with huge butts wear tights when out in public. Surely they don't think it makes them attractive. I still have a pretty good eye for estimating size and I measure them optically and grin, one ax handle, one and a half, two, and so on.

As far as dress & heigene goes, I just live and let live, as long as they don’t try to force me to wear my pajamas. Pajamas last I looked I don’t own any pajamas. I just wear a tshirt and a pair of Florida Gator shorts to sleep in.

Why dress up to go to bed? I wear my undies and that's it ever since I started high school. The only logo on my current supply is "Hanes" printed around the waistband.

not what this was about. Its about what people wear in public. When I worked at the power plant we had a female plant operator that had purple hair. Made more then me at the time and no doubt more then most here. Id bet its actually a small percentage of welfare people that dress dirty and have purple or green hair. Heck around here most of them dress pretty well on my dime. Nice low income housing and more money to sit at the tavern then I do. Personaly I wish they all HAD to wear ripped up dirty jeans or sweats because that's all they could afford. Like it or not right now in this country they do have the right to expect us to support them. Changing what they wear sure as hell isn't changing that. Its the people who wear 300 dollar suits and ties to work that make these laws that you should be chastising. Good example is those bogus impeachment hearings. Out of ALL the republicans AND democrats there exactly one republican that throws off his suit coat and doesn't give a rip what anyone thinks about what he looks like. Funny thing is hes one of the most powerful republicans in those hearings. Lots of his coworkers like you think they should be able to tell him how to dress. How do I say what he thinks of that without getting censored here!!! Sorry but your no better then and your opinion means not one bit more then someone with green hair anymore then someone who wears a 300 dollar suit is any better then you or opinion means any more.

Ok, here is my last contribution to this thread, it seems that there are several here that carry a lot of hate and contempt in their hearts for their fellow man.

Remember, it is not your place to understand others, it is your place to understand you and why you feel the way you do. It is just my opinion but those with so much hate for others are most likely just not happy with what they see when they look in a mirror either.

Not taking it a bit personaly. Just  don't like predudice people or people that think its there way or the highway. Truth be told theres some here that really believe that they have the right to judge others. Why would I take it serious. I don't even have hair let alone green hair and Im the one that will make sure that if you think you have the right to confront me in Walmart about what kind of pants I have on will ensure its the last time your feeling superior.

Now that comment is where the saying "calling the kettle black" no doubt came from. You seem to have exception to every opinion I have and a need to post something negative about me or my church in every thread. I guess you feel I don't deserve an opinion on this subject or for that matter any subject. PLEASE quit taking it personaly. Its not all about you.

People dress as they do to : please them selves, please others, because they want attention- good or bad, to spite the society they live in and a lot other reasons.
A peaceful society has rules, some break them for nefarious reasons, it is a free country but disturbing the peace is still against the law , so NO you cannot do or dress as you like. But then with California having manure piles on city streets because , it is improper to complain about others methods of dressing and living, well, well when you do nothing because -- you are not better than they are -- or are told so, you get what you deserve and in Calf. that is happening.

Remember, it is not your place to understand others, it is your place to understand you and why you feel the way you do. It is just my opinion but those with so much hate for others are most likely just not happy with what they see when they look in a mirror either.

Seems there is a lot of hate and contempt everywhere today, but this particular sub-forum tends to really bring it out.  I tend to agree that some of the anger and frustration comes from folks that are angry/frustrated  with their own spot in life. I also believe  some of these same folks have a narcissistic personality and is why they believe that their way, their religion, their race, and their ideals are the only "correct" ones. Seems to be why we see so much name calling and belittling here. Funny how those folks that tend to flaunt their religion fall prey to the seven deadly sins and forget about Matthew 22:36-40.
As for what people wear for clothes, how they do their hair, what they pierce and what they tattoo. Isn't this a free country? We want the right to express ourselves and we want others to respect our RTBA, but then we want to slander folks that are either too poor to afford better or those that want the freedom to express themselves thru their clothing or their hair. Somehow, coming on social media and belittling folks makes them feel better inside. It's almost sad. What's even sadder is this is what is killing GBO. One only has to look at the activity here. Very little activity on other sub-forums that used to be heavily used....like the reloading sub-forum. Instead, the only activity here is is by a few members in this sub-forum and most of the posts revolve around calling names or belittling folks. This is not the source of good information anymore, only a soapbox for a coupla folks that have no place else to complain. Not almost sad....it is sad.

"where'd you get the gun....son?"
