Cats are subject to the common cold, a form of Corona virus so this is not odd.
We took one of ours to the vet some years back and found out it had a cold.
I asked the vet if I could use the medicine if some was left over ; he said I cannot recommend that but it will not hurt you,So I asked about penicillin type medicines from human on cats; he it will not hurt the cat either.
