How to help?

I’ve posted here a few times since the reload but have mostly watched while sitting on the bench. It seems that a few here are trying to jumpstart the activity but activity isn’t increasing.


What are your thoughts?  Why hasn’t the pace of posting picked up?


We have determined that communication trends have changed.


A lot of guys have moved on to other things.


Some guys have passed on or gotten older and no longer participate in any fora.


A lot of old members here are at the new site.


Other fora like 24hourcampfire and SnipersHide are chugging along. 24 hour is much like Reloaded and Snipers is more oriented toward tactical and competitive shooting.


You guys have been at it for a few months now. What are your thoughts?

The other site isn't moving along very fast either. You mention two other sites but they are nothing like they once were. SOCAL is very small site so they only look like they are doing ok. But you count the recent posts,
its no better than what it is here. You can't really compare sites anymore to get an accurate accounting.


Demographics is another indicater, how many people even knew there was another site like this on the
West Coast? Nothing even close to ones like GBO, either one of them, but they are there and have been
for a long time.

I will say this about the West Coast, they don't, nor have they ever tried to copy GBO. That can't be said
about Georgia or Florida.

I think its only a widespread media trend. It has nothing to do with eaither site management, or its members.
To blame them is only a ludicrous assumption.  Twitter is hurting, FB can't count to ten. And youtube will soon become a pay site. Matt, my boss worked very hard on this, he did it for the guys with good intentions.


He is funding this by himself, he had no sponsors, he still doesent.  He tried to do what the members on
TOS wanted. He gave it to them, once they had it, they no longer cared.
