Ill say two things about the hemis. I helped a buddy rebuild one back in the 70s and you DO NOT want to drop a head on your toe. I think they made them out of lead!!! Other is I just bought a  new hemi ram. First non chev since I quit the mopars in 75. My 17 Silverado ex cab 4x4 5.3 got 22 mpg. I love this ram. Its power puts the 5.3 to shame but at a cost. Best ive got with it so far is 17. that's 5mpg difference!!! Fit and finish on the ram puts the chev to shame too. Its time chev steps up there game or there going to be left in last place.

Lloyd the company I retired from used Ram trucks With the hemi engine In the field. The two things they said about them was plenty of power but the mpg sucked. Seems to be a recurring comment about them. They eventually went with Ford trucks when it was time o update their fleet.
