Reregister

  Changes...  I bought a new laptop, and am forced to change my E-mail and posting name.  I will be adding


  an "s" to ironglow.  I hope to be contributing regularly.  For some reason, I am having a bit of trouble registering into the original GBO.
  The original tells me to register with FB, but the registration form that comes up, seems to want my full name as my posting name, and of course, I don't want to do that.


  I am a notoriously poor computer operator, so I would like any help I can get.  Thank you,  ....Ironglows

PM me the e-mail address you want on your old account and I'll make the change for you and assign you a temporary password and that should get you going on it again.

I have added your new address to your old account. I also set a temporary password for you on it and sent it to you in a PM to this new account. To get your new address on the old account I added a 1 following the new address on this account so it would be different. The software won't allow two accounts to use same address.

Somehow, facebook is getting tangled into the business.  For a time it wanted me to go through FB to reregister.  Now I get warning that I am FB banned. I don't know what FB has to do with GBO, and I can't figure it all out, so I guess I will give it a rest for a while, and just stick with GBO reloaded, for now.

Why was a GBO member using the site banned on FB? There isn't any connection between the two.

To me honest I have no clue what you guys are talking about. I don't do facebook. I am registered but haven't been there since registering. To my knowledge neither site has any tie in to facebook.

Matt has a GBO facebook page and they talk about GBO reloaded on it at times but it isn't tied to this site nor the other.

If Vertical Scope has a facebook tie in to the other GBO I am sure not aware of it.

Being banned by facebook should have zero effect on you on this site or the other GBO site. I just do not understand what you guys are talking about.

I've never recived anything from FB on either GBO sites. FB does try to but in on some other sites as well.
They hit my wife's doll club site also. The lady that owns that site believes they were hacked somehow.
After some complaints. She said that she never did authorised that.

  Thanks Bill, but I have tried to log into the original GBO, but no luck.  The FB thing comes in on the same line as the log in spaces.  It says to sign with FB or log in.    Since 'login' doesn't work, then I hit the "register" selection, but some kind of invitation to register comes up.  Do I register there? I will try to paste it here.

  Sorry to be such a problem Bill, but I seem to be getting through on this site (in spite of myself), but the old site is where the problem seems to lie.


  We can try the older one, but as I warned ..I am likely the worst computer operator here.  ;) ;D

I get the sign in on facebook line also. Never paid attention to it since I don't have/wa nt a FB account to begin with. More than one outdoors sites have the FB thing attached, I've visited several where it was there like it was an alternative way to log on.
