That's a rather stupid move!  It is tantamount to another presidential candidate promising he would choose a running mate who is at least 6'5" tall , with blue eyes!

Such promises, really limit his choices a great deal, plus when have physical traits qualified or disqualified one for the job?  Only a racist would think that way !

So what does forgetful Joe do?  ..He is talking with a white Michigan governor, well ostensibly white,...unless she chooses to be black this week..and apparently female, unless she chooses to be male, or one of 30 other genders, this week !

Just what I was speaking about..    Whether for Veep or SCOTUS, he is stupid enough to paint himself into a corner by saying he WILL choose a "black woman" for SCOTUS !
   
  Same thing as if a president swore to appoint a "white man" to SCOTUS!  Either way limits his choices..and either way is a sexist/racist notion.

  No president should crimp his choices like  that, especially while making a selection based on a sexist/racist criteria !
