Hey Argent!  I thought that heavy metal stuff was the kind of sounds you were complaining about, when you asked where the music went!  ;)  ;D
The Petersons seems like a nice group, many of the great ones started in their home church.  I fact, many are likely still playing only in the church scene, preferring not to follow the popular route.
Now for some history.. 1955; for me starting in June.. it was a teenage lad going through basic training at Ft Dix and advanced training at Ft Knox.  Most of us were missing that "girl we left behind", so this newly introduced tune for obvious reasons, should have worn out in the juke boxes, and burned up any available radios, for it's constant playing!  Here in a later rendition...

Well, Ive said I like it all. And post it all on music. But country is my favorite, maybe not yours so much as mine. I tried catigorys but that didn't work. But I was a honky tonk angel so it brings back a lot of memories

I saw Dwight in concert and sat at the Sioux Falls airport and talked with him. Probably the best concert I have ever seen, and he was a truly down to earth nice guy.

Billy, I wish I could see him in concert. I did see Brooks and Dunn in Albuquerque once, they were really good also. They had Bonnie Raitt with them. There sure were a lot of bikers at that concert.

LOL, about 35 years ago, I took a young lady I was seeing at the time to the XIT Ranch Rodeo, BBQ and Dwight Yokum concert. He was so drunk you couldn't understand him, and he almost fell off the stage a couple a times.
He was having a rough night.

She didn't record a whole lot, but she was ok.Rideing on the name I guess. Here she sings for her father, who is in attendance. Warning: so were the Clintons.

Or George Thorogood, CCR, Arrowsmith, Ted Nugent.

I thought you all wanted more country. On the old site I had posted music from all of those mentioned.
If you go back far enough you will even find them here. This is why I wanted catigorys but the trolls didn't like that decision and made another site gang rape out of it.

Right now I am listening to a genuine old country music station, also farm radio, and  most of them are doing Christmas songs no favor.
A LOT are ----  my girl left this christmas cause I am a dweeb but I know she is wrong cause I am a dork....

A few are nice remakes of classics but darn few.

Have you noticed we aren't seeing the old Christmas movies this year. A Christmas story about the little kid wanting a BB gun. Or the Santa Clause with Tim Allen.

I heard on TV that a conglomerate had bought all rites to that movie and it was going to be shown on PBS probably for the last free time ever.
I forgot the date and may have missed it.

Right now I am listening to a cable TV channel Sounds of the Season; In the daytime you hear 90 percent non-Christian songs, the least Christmas like too, but now it is probably 50 percent Christian though most are by artists I did not even know knew Christian Christmas songs existed.
I , at least in my opinion, had thought, that for years now , this channel skewed it programming in such a cock-eyed way.
It is kind of neat though to not be hearing the same old, same old artists from 70 plus years ago.
