Answers thier phone anymore. If they dont know who it is.  Or text. Scamers have pretty well ruined that.

The advantage of having a land line and answering machine, you can listen to them to see if you want to answer.
At that where I have no answering machine if it does not ring at leas seven times, I simply will not answer.

Probably 90% of the calls here
are salespeople or scammers
with the " all I need is your address
confirmation and I can get your
back brace on the way to you at
no cost to you.  .  ."

  Yes, I sort them much as Bob does...  I suspect that many who still have a land line, do the same.  ..Which is just one of the many reasons why voting polls are usually far off from reality.
  BTW:  Has anybody here been polled this season?

We went cordless a few years ago and got on the cellphone do not call list. Ha, what a joke that list is. If I do not recognize the town the number is from I just end it right there. I don't need my credit card debt reduces as I have none, I need no extended warranty on my vehicles, etc. If I did I would go out and find what I need. One thing I have never gotten on my cellphone is a poll.

Or its about your extended warranty on a truck that's 20 years old?
