While I sympathize with her family, this could be a huge break for us.  Upcoming may be some very serious questions on the coming election..such as the legality of the new "mail in" attempt to steal an election.
With the president's re-election will come moves to solidify the 2nd amendment and the border wall.  Please Lord, see that Pres Trump returns to office !

While sympathetic to anyones loss of a family member, the old woman should have retired years ago.  She couldn't stay awake at government functions and over the last several years was physically unable to serve much of the time.
She obviously stayed in for the liberal influence she provided. Liberal dedication to the bitter end.

Trump and McConnell will no doubt push a conservative replacement thru before the November 3rd election.

I HOPE!

ON Fox they were speaking of hindrances to doing so.
Back in 2016, McConnell held that although Pres Obama picked a candidate, there was no point to bring him up for a vote.
The left will try to use McConnell's statement to try to prevent Pres Trump from appointing anyone.
When McConnell was asked about today's situation, he said the reason why he said that, was because the senate was republican, so their was no reason to try to put that liberal nominee in that job, since the senate would never approve him, and it would just be a big waste of time.
This is a different situation..  Hillary has already ordered Biden to 'never concede', no matter what happens, and the democrats are trying to push through many new, suspicious practices, such as mail-in voting etc.
Therefore there is likely that this election, will be a contested one.  We have 8 justices now, and could end up in a tie vote, which could mess the whole country up for many months..replacing Ginsberg would bring it back to 9, which would automatically rule out any tie vote !
Probably the concern Bob is talking about, are the remaining rinos in the senate, the 2 senators from Maine and Murkowski of Alaska.

Mr. Trump,

Please do what a President does - Lead.  Allow the People the time to reflect and pay their respects.  Then attend to the business of running this Country and APPOINT ANOTHER JUDGE - now!

Let's cut he games..  Some democrats are saying that they will do all kinds of partisan, ugly things, if the president appoints a new SCOTUS justice right now.  If/when they get in office, they will try to pack the court (add several new justices), dump the filibuster etc.

Go ahead and appoint Mr President, since if the democrats do regain the office & majority, they will do all kinds of destructive things anyway !

Democrats are already saying that no SCOTUS appointments should b emade during a president's last year in office.

Meanwhile; Neil Cavuto researched, and is saying that 30 presidents appointed SCOTUS judges during their 4th year, fully 6 of them during the lame duck period.

Judge Scalia died Feb 13, 2016..Obama submitted the name of Merrick Garland on March 16, 2016..you figure !

Face it. Politics are the toughest sport in the world. No holds barred and the ends justify the means.
So there’s really no reason to gin up lame rationalizations defending Mitch’s “precident reversal”. Sleaziness is the name of the game.
Will be interesting to see how this shakes out!

No need to 'gin up any rationalizations', just follow the 'OBiden' administration's example, justice dies 2/13/2016, new name submitted 3/16/2016...

Susan Collins the RINO from Maine has already stated the president who is elected in November should pick the next justice.

Side note: Has anyone noticed that Ruth Bader Ginsburg looks like a combination of AOC and Larry King?

It is already there, Hillary's too, in the piles of rubble at the foot of the mountain, and as close as either will ever get.

Here are the three still in contention for the SCOTUS seat!  Haven't heard much from the third pick, Allison Jones Rushing.
She is young (38) so she would be a looong time on the court !  She has it seems, made all the best decisions..

..And she would by far improve the appearance of the court ! ;) ;D

Mr. Trump will pick the one he thinks can help him win re-election.  My bet is on the "Cuban American" from Florida.  I think Mr Trump has more confidence in the evangelicals than the Cubans in Miami.

If I were gonna pick "a group" to trust, it would certainly be a Christian group over an ethnic group.

But, with that said.  I guess it would also depend on the Christian group also.

It's a crapshoot.

I would estimate Barbara Lagoa's chances as less than the other two, simply because in some cases she drew liberal support for her appointment. That has to raise suspicions!  A clear + for her is her anti-communist views, since her parents were forced to flee Cuba.  Our domestic commies wouldn't like that !

My choice so far, Allison Jones Rushing..an evangelical Christian.  Nothing wrong with having a variety of persons on the SCOTUS bench.

The idea of her appointment , make the lefties freak out, so she must be good!  The lefties whine about her working with the Alliance For Freedom... but of course the fact that Ginsberg worked with the ACLU didn't give them even a moment's alarm.

I just wish they'd get the old crone buried, and get a new conservative judge in there before the election.
