My catholic priest at the church I grew up in raped my cousin and a few of my friends growing up. He ruined their lives. My cousin is 46 years old and still messed up over it. One kid who our priest raped committed suicide over it. One kid who he raped threatened to go to the police so the priest stole money from the collection every week to pay the kid hush money. He moved this priest to MY church where he could have a fresh set of victims.

I don't know where you get this. I don't hate Catholics. About 25% of my family is of that faith including my late mother. My family thinks my religious choice is a bit crazy as I do there's but there's no hate involved. Truth be known, I think most Christian faiths have more in common than they like to admit. Many see my beliefs in Intelligent design over strict creationism as crazy but I'm the first to say I may be wrong but this is what I believe.

Most of my family is catholic, I have no issues with catholics. Just the church itself.

I find it extremely hypocritical for someone who says this in reference to sexual abuse by catholic priests to lecture others on the teachings of Jesus:

Homsexuality?? Its a choice or can be caused by environmental things like poor parenting or mental trauma and yup some are just born that way. Ever see a 5 year old boy that you just know will be gay?? I think all of us have. A not a mental disease as much as just a miss wiring in the brain. that probably has no cure. I often wonder because of this exposure, if they think its ok, or their choice to have a same sex boyfriend or girlfriend? The first time I picked my youngest up from high school, I saw probably 10 same sex "couples". Closest I think I've ever been to a heart attack. When I asked my daughter about this, she shrugged it off as no big deal. I guess I agree some are born gay, but I can't help but think its more of an "option " for these young kids?

Todays kids are encouraged to experiment with sexual perversion by some school systems.
Its not an emotional issue for most here, but more of a recognition of some religious organizations accepting perversion into their beliefs systems, in this case a very fractured catholic pope.

That some become emotional is obvious, and easily noted, even here, but this Pope is truly dangerous to the catholic organization, and is try to distort their long held doctrine on this issue.
