A lot of people are getting this notice, and until they send them a positive ID they can't use their accounts.
Send them a pic of your drivers license or your birth certificate. Verify your email account, phone number, location, gender. I never hardly use FB but even I got one. Apparently they have been doing this for a couple of years now.

FB has me all messed up, AGAIN. This is my 3rd or 4th time I've had to start a new account. NOW they say my browser id outdated and can no longer use IE. I tried goin to google and have not been able to do that. CHARLIE.

The only time they asked for ID from me is when I got hacked and they locked down my account.  Since I also have a FB page for my business I didn't see a big deal about proving who I am.

Twitter is getting a flood of former FB members trying to join. I'm one of them, but it's much different than FB. 
A lot of politicians post there. Think I'll just stay with the old forum concept, like here.

Mine started out like that also, browser. Then photo ID after locking my account.
