'Jeopardy!' host Alex Trebek dead at 80 after battle with pancreatic cancer


"Jeopardy!" host Alex Trebek died Sunday morning at age 80 after a battle with pancreatic cancer, the show announced Sunday.


"Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friends," the show wrote on its Twitter account. "Thank you, Alex."

I liked him and I liked Jeopardy; the pathetic thing is, I watch Wheel of Fortune often but now RARELY watch Jeopardy.

I don't watch any of those shows, but perhaps I am a bit too dour a person to indulge... ;)  ;D
