When you no longer "poke cows" or whatever you did for a living, day in and day out, as in retire, and SLOW WAY down, so that the mid section fills out in inverse proportion to exercise (less Honey Do's and more naps in between), slip-on BOOTS (above the ankle) become problematic with compression of the diaphragm and the potential to black out from a lack of oxygen while trying to get them over the @#$%&! heel.
