The Duke of York has been unsuccessfully attempting to persuade his mother to let him represent the royals once more
Prince Andrew will never again return to the public duties from which the British royal was forced to resign nearly a year ago over his notorious affiliation with the late serial sexual predator, Jeffrey Epstein, the Daily Mail reports.
Her Majesty the Queen yanked Prince Andrew away from any further royal duties after her middle son gave a catastrophic interview to the BBC about his Epstein ties in November 2019.
Prince Andrew has been attempting to shake off the Epstein scandal and return to his public duties in recent months.
The Duke of York, as Andrew is also known, has waged a crisis PR campaign on his own behalf, including not-so-secret audiences with his mother, Her Majesty.
Multiple sources said this week that this is highly unlikely, however, even if the Duke of York does finally speak to US officials over his links to convicted paedophile Epstein.

One arena where Prince Andrew has most certainly not done his duty is responding to repeated requests from U.S. federal authorities to sit for an interview about his connections with Epstein.
The duke has stonewalled the Americans to such a point that the head of the British Metropolitan Police said that she would step in and do her own duty to bring Prince Andrew to heel where the requested interview about Epstein is concerned.

And still, Prince Andrew has refused to say a peep about when he’ll sit for the interview.
Town & Country notes that when Prince Andrew stepped away from his royal duties over the Epstein scandal, he was still expected to attend some events with the Windsor clan.
Examples cited of when we might see him alongside the Queen and the rest of her descendants included Trooping the Colour, Christmas at Sandringham, and Remembrance Sunday.

But just last week, on Remembrance Day, as the royals made their annual pilgrimage to the Cenotaph in central London to pay homage to those lost in the world wars, there was most certainly no Andrew to be found.
This despite the Epstein-tained Prince Andrew having done his duty as a subject of Her Majesty by serving in the British military.
But Prince Andrew has always been unpopular among the Brits, so it is perhaps no surprise that there should be no allowances made on the question of public duties for a man who hobnobbed with Epstein on the shadowy financier’s notorious Pedo Island.
As The Sun notes, Virginia Giuffre has alleged that disgraced British socialite Ghislaine Maxwell sexually trafficked her to Epstein when she was a teenager. She says that she was forced to have sex with Andrew more than once when she was 17.
The prince was allegedly particularly close to Epstein’s British girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell, who was arrested and charged earlier this year in connection with his crimes.

Prince Andrew has strenuously denied that he had sex with any of Epstein’s harem of girls as he has sought unsuccessfully to put the scandal behind him and return to his public duties.
The duke, who in Epstein and Maxwell’s circle was known as “randy Andy” for his sexual proclivities, has claimed he has no recollection of meeting Giuffre.
This is curious, considering there is a photo of the two looking highly cozy together when she was but a nubile teen.
As for Maxwell, she’s facing a blockbuster 2021 trial for sex trafficking in New York City, the Mirror notes.
A royal source said: “Andrew would do well to keep his head down while the rest of the family carries on with the business in hand.”
