Darn, we can't celebrate Thanksgiving with our families
« on: November 15, 2020, 10:41:44 AM »
The BIC has spoken. Everyone has to shelter in place, no going outside except for food and water, emergency health care, and getting a flu shot or a covid test. No family gatherings at all until at least December. Non-essential business don't have to close but must reduce in-person services and hours by 100%. Yes, she actually said that. I'm not too sharp but that sounds like closing to me. All I can say is hide and watch, b---h, and I know where I will be on Thanksgiving day.

If the sick people had been prevented
from entering the country, there wouldn't
be any masks, ventilators, portable
morgue trailers, shut downs, etc. etc.

We have a daily talk show host named David Bellavia, which I very often tune into,  He's on the same station that carries Rush, and is of the same view on life and politics.
Last week he talked with a prominent attorney, concerning t e Thanksgiving day 10 person limit.  That attorney said, unless the door knocker has a warrant...tell him/her to go elsewhere.
 Here's David Bellavia:

What is bad about our situation is the number of positive cases had already take an abrupt downturn before she came out with the lockdown order and are still dropping. Will she recinde the order. Of course not. She has the power to do as she wants as she has repeated told us and the state supreme court has backed her up thanks to the last democratic governor and his minions in the legislature passing this mess into law that we now have to live with. There is nothing to be done as this administration is worse than his was.

For the first time a years we will be having a family Thanksgiving dinner here.
I will ask my brother if he wants to come but with his odd wife, doubt it.

As good as food is at some casinos we have gone to for Thanksgiving,  I truly miss the hassle of getting up early and cooking for Thanksgiving.
Probably the last time so I will enjoy it.
Although we had a big summer dinner with a lot of people that happens once every ten years or more.

I had to run into town today. Not much seems to have changed since last week when we were sort of free to this week when we are all supposed to be staying inside our homes. People were going about their business as usual except for beauty salons and cafes. My grand daughter has closed her salon for now. I stopped at the hospital to pay a small bill and everything was just as it has been. Get your temperature checked at the entrance and then go where you need to go. I like this place as hospitals and clinics go. If you pay your copay within thirty days of receiving the bill they knock off 30%. I bought milo at one feed store and tweety bird grain at another with no mask on. Traffic was the same as usual for the time of day too. I expected it to be this way. We are bit independent down in this corner of the state and don't really care much what Santa Fe has to say. A lot of us are hard headed Texas transplants and our attitude seems to have rubbed off on most of our kids.

Our governor, comrade Cuomo says no more than 10 allowed for Thanksgiving dinner...  However, we can have many more at a funeral.

Well, my pet turkey died, so I sent out notices with an obituary attached.  I am holding a wake for him at my home, on Thursday Nov 26.  I will present a eulogy.. and since it may be a lengthy service, a luncheon will be served!

Our pet turkey is resting on ice waiting on his coming semi-cremation. The wake notices have been sent also. Our sherriff told the BIC to go pound sand when her first covid orders were given and she instructed him to enforce them. He told her that state law didn't require him to do so and she could depend on the state police if she wanted them enforced. She went so far as to have the attorney general try to get a court order to force him to follow her orders. It made it to the state supreme court and they slapped down the B and AT. They told them the sherriff's duty was to the residents of the county and not the state and she had no power to order him to do anything so there is little worry that law enforcement is going to be showing up to disband Thanksgiving for anyone in this county. It's over three times larger than our smallest state and has about six state cops to patrol it.

Heading out to boy the Turkey today.
I was thinking of getting a natural heirloom turkey but the prices are very high, I would have to drive over 100 miles, round trip, and it seems, nowadays you are supposed to put in an order early just to get one.

Used to go to the health food Co-Op for such turkeys but they no long carry them as last time they had one, I bought it after Thanksgiving on sale.
Now I am deciding whether to get a Butterball, Honey Suckle or Jennie O.
Might get two and put one in the freezer for next year.

Careful Bob..if you get those frozen turkeys, one may die on you before next Thursday !
Then you would have to hold a funeral service for it, just as the rest of us may have to do ..

As of yesterday we are the most locked down state in the nation. We have one of the highest if not the highest rates of people going hungry, a 70% failure rate for our school kids, suicides have tripled and I'll stop there except to say this the fault of a democrat governor that has run wild with her power that was given to her by the previous democrat controlled administration. Bill Richardson and company set us up for this. If I could catch either of these two on fire I would enthusiastically fan the flames and I suspect I would have a lot of help.

Well, I for one am going to obey our governor's edict--sort off.  No one is coming here to mess up the house and spread their germs and that's a plus in my book.  However, we have to go to someone else's house for dinner.  That always turns out to be a big nothing.  Part of the people go to the living room and everyone is talking at the same time.  Another group will sit outside and yak about stupid stuff.  If I get lucky, maybe I can go somewhere and watch the football games.  The only thing that is good about the whole thing is that as far as I know, there won't be any stinking dummycrats (commies) there.

Lawd lawd I feel for you.
I went to a deal like that some time
back. A girlfriend's family's house.
Dirty dishes and glasses everywhere,
People setting their half full glass of
whatever down and forgetting where
they set it, so they go get another full
glass. Television on, starts out moderately
and whoever can't hear over the talking.
Turns up the television a couple of notches.
The talkers can't hear the talk over the
television. Television gets turned up
louder over the talking, etc. etc.

I finally went outside and sat in a chair
by myself since I'd rode in her car and
didn't have a way to evacuate. Big mess

Comrade Cuomo, like all democrat governors, gets a big charge out of limiting citizen's rights whenever he can get away with it.  So one enterprising small business capitalized on his restrictions..centering upon his Thanksgiving restrictions.. ;)  :D  ;D ;D

Liberals, wipe out all American history including the holidays. Rewrite it to what we want it to say. And teach
that in our schools. USSR.
