Most everything I see has a
full sized second row with
full sized seats and doors.
Of course, I haven't specifically
looked for one. Most all the
newer trucks have morphed
into car/truck hybrids
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

Seems like standard cabs and 2WD are scarce as hen's teeth... even those that have just one of those 2 features, are scarce, at least around here.

They're rare where I live too. I almost bought one for my son this past summer. It was an 05 Chevy extended cab  but it was 2WD. Had 69K miles on it with very little rust for $4500. I would have bought it but the intake manifold was leaking antifreeze at the front gasket.

I know my new ram is so big in the back that you could fold the rear seat up and use it for camping. Personaly though i dont need it. I dont have kids anymore and would rather have the extra foot of box space. It was a truck that for the first time i let my wife decide on. She was up getting the oil changed in my 15 silverado and saw it on the lot and fell in love with it. She came home excited telling me how pretty it was and i told her if she wanted it then wed get it. My brother in law said that its a super cab ram. Now i dont know for sure if thats what they call it or if thats just there "crew cab" but it sure is BIG in the back seat.

Yes; it seems that since most families are 2-car families at the least, that a regular standard cab truck with full bed would suffice, with the other car to carry the family.
I guess I'm just a bit old fashioned and out of date .

The Ford 4.6 in a Crown Vic was bad about leaking antifreeze around the intake manifold also. So bad that Ford
had to do a recall on that original plastic intake. Edelbrock came out with an all aluminum replacement and a lot of people started useing that instead. Some police departments even went that route instead of useing the Ford replacement, which was just another plastic problem. I didn't know that Chevy was having any problems also.

I just bought a 2019 Ford super cab with a v8. It was hard to find.

I bought  a new Ford Supercab 4x4 diesel  in 2019, so they still make them. Plenty of room back there for the grandkids.

The super cabs are still available, you just have to do a deep search! Two years ago, my 98 f150 super cab decided to give up a year too soon (worm gear that drove the oil pump and distributorless pickup wore away), so at 292k, she went to the junkyard. spent a week searching Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky, and finally found an 08 Silverado super cab with a long bed, 3 hours away in Ohio. They are out there, but ya gotta look deep! Good deal, too.....10,700, with 109,000 miles.
