hes not more of a catholic then I am a navy seal. Being born into a catholic family doesnt make you anymore a catholic or a Christian then being born into a Baptist family makes you a Baptist or a Christian. God knows the difference.

   Watch that SCOTUS judge John Roberts too... he claims to be a "devout Catholic" too, and he just departed from common and constitutional sense, as he departed from the conservative jurors in the Cuomo vs the constitution, concerning the closing of churches.
 
  You can be proud however, of justice Amy Comey Barrett, who just voted to back the constitution and her faith !

My buddy once said half the people who claim a relgion today do it because its where the parents went to church not where they go which is usually the recliner sunday morning.

  I have a view of tea last 3-4 popes...but it is form an "outsider" view.
 
  Pope John II..a likeable old boy..good sense of humor and seemed to hold close to traditional Roman Catholic doctrine.

  Pope Benedict..  Hard guy..but still sticking with the traditional doctrine and somewhat wary of other expressions of Christianity.

  Francis...as I see it, an interloper..a very different type, who seems to be slapping down traditional RC values. Especially noticeable, his stance toward, homosexualism, abortion, an d other moral questions etc.  Especially noticeable, his tendency to endorse socialism/communism.

  This is even more noticeable, when compared to Pope John II, who along with Pres Reagan and Maggie Thatcher, was instrumental in tearing down the iron curtain !

  Other than that, it is not my business who they choose for their leader.
