Mattis says ..America first; no way !

  I wonder if this guy rose in rank by way of the Obama administration.  He doesn't want a president to put America first..  Reading the article, best I can figure from his babble, is that he thinks we should go back to paying the full tab for other NATO nations.  That way they can enjoy the protection NATO offers, and do it free of cost.
 
   Perhaps he is a prime example of a 'deep state" general..

"Maddog Mattis" was a name given him by Trump. He was, a Pentagon peddler working his way up the ranks by any means necessary.

I believe Gen. Mattis received the nickname "Mad Dog" after the 2004 battle of Fallujah in Iraq.  He certainly had it before Mr Trump nominated him.  He is also called the "Warrior Monk" since he never married.

  It was understood that he did not care for the nickname, any more than "Stormin Norman" Schwartzkopf liked his.  ...And one hopes Mattis is not one of those that Clinton had in mind, when he pushed throug hish.."don't ask, and don't tell" rule.

Actually his fellow soldiers called him "chaos" because of his apparent ineptness during war game exercises.

A news paper gave him the BS monikers. Look it up.

What'd an interview of several officers that trained with him sometime back. They laughingly gave him the name as an identifier to his lack of organization in the group.
