Bestlever -

10" ???  Try something like 75 YARDS, or 225 FEET!!!

(Actually, that's probably a little low.)

Jayco, sounds like a grand idea for a business opportunity.  Cell phones, GPS tracknig of elk or other large enough game.  Be like a guide business, but without the overhead of camping equipment, etc.  You really shuld look into it!   :)  :)

Hey there BestLever,

If you'll let me know where you are I'll send you a 350 grainer aimed at 2 degrees left of the north star so you can time it.  Just let me know the angle of the curve from there to get to you so I can send it accurately at 2:15:30.25876 pm EDT!

The winter IS long, Krag2

PS if Jayco can go outside in Idaho and hold up a steel plate to deflect my shot to you we can get a new statistic--but I'm open to names--AOA (Angle of Agrevation) or BOB (Bounce of BS)!!

Have some more coffee, Krag2

Bestlever-We have talked via e-mail about your coming to Idaho and meeting. As I have said, come on over,it would be interesting and fun.
As for the metal plate,Put it back in your head,as it appear's your missing something?

We kid alot, and that's all it is.I think that a whole bunch of us have a lot in common. There are several I would love to meet, but distance is a problem for me.A sense of humor is a must as I can't be serious to long as most have seen. When you get as old as Bestlever and myself, humor is about all that is left with a lot of knowledge from the OLD DAY"S.

Best of luck to all you fella's and I hope you all know that Bestlever and myself are just a kiddin.I thinkIt could turn out as the Massacure in Idaho?????Since he's on a Chopper,I will have to have a Dozen Logger's standing by.   That should do it maybe????One never know's.

Jayco.

Jayco.

Not just a chopper, he plans to have his Marlin .45-70 with him!  He's got family down this way and we plan to chase a few 'yotes when he rides through this summer.

BestLever,
Your bike is running too rich! Stay away from the exhaust pipe whenever you're thinking about shooting!

Jaycocreek, see that you are from Grangeville.  Used to hunt elk out of Harpster.  If I remember right, it was near  a place called Blacktop mountain. Anyway, ran into some of the locals set up on a clearing overlooking the top of the mountain.  Must have been a 1/2 mile across the canyon.  They assured me that shots at that distance were common place.  Don't remember if they had 45-70's but they certainly didn't lack confidence.

Do not forget Billie Dixon and the Battle of Adobe Walls.  A black powder buffalo rifle that dispatched an Indian sitting on his horse at 1500 yards and witnessed by Bat Masterson.

Later investigated by the U S army, it was determined to be extremely possible.
