Hello I hope that someone might be able to help me, I had a Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 rifle given to me by my Uncle and I have had a hard time finding any reloading data for the 7.5 X 55 Swiss cartridge that the rifle uses.  I have found some limited reloading data but it is for later rifle models that will withstand higher chamber pressures, and all the data states that it is not to be used with model 1889 rifles.  If anyone has any reloading data or knows where I might find some I would appreciate it.
Thanks for any info that you can give me.

I hope this site can offer you the help.  It is primarily for the later K31 collectors, but they should know where to get your information. Let us know if there is anything else we can do.  SAMCO is selling this model 1889 Schmidt-Rubin...perhaps they can offer some info also.

Steve......Are you sure this data is for the model 1889 7.5x55mm cartridge?  I fyou check you will see there is a modern model11 7.5x55mm Swiss round which is much more powerful than the earlier 1889 round. This information is based on SAMCO's three model Swiss rifles offered.  http://www.samcoglobal.com/rifles.html#k31swiss

If I'm wrong I apologize...but we don't want anyone getting the wrong load data.

Hello and thanks for the replys, I had checked out the stevespages.com before but the data that he has is the same data that the Hornady reloading book (3rd edition I believe) has that I have and they state that you should not use it for a 1889 model rifle.  I will have to look into the other sites that you have posted.
Thanks again.

Absolutely Don!  The data I saw on steves pages was for the Model 11 cartridge...I would check in with the Swiss Collector's site and ask.  Good Luck!
