Today is the Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
« on: December 07, 2020, 11:12:24 AM »
No one here has yet to mentioned that. We went to the VFW recognition ceremony. There were only two old survivers, who were not Navy. But were in the Army air corps ground crews for the P40 war hawk. One said he was sure that he saw the two take off that engaged the Japanese aircraft.

There were three, one didnt make it off the ground. The  surviving pilots told them from the air, it was the most horrifying thing they had ever seen.

Fewer and fewer people care about what was sacrificed for them starting 1941.
No mention that I have seen on online news.
Many WWII vets fought in Korea and 'Nam.
Sad very  sad.

Doris Miller, a cook. An aircraft carrier is to be named after him.
